This and That

Ok, I know I haven't blogged in awhile but I haven't had anything exciting to blog about! So that's why today's post will just be a little bit of everything that's gone down in the last couple of weeks. We bought Mya some Bob Skates to take her skating on the outside rink in Coldbrook but when we got there the rink was closed. We have yet to use them but since we had talked up the skating and got her all bundled up in ski pants and the whole kaboodle, we felt the need to make up for the lack of skating so we played outside. When you're not quite 2 yet, playing outside in the snow is just as fun.

We also got to dream about warmer climates and the end of snow with a present we got in the mail. Auntie Jessica went to Cuba last month and brought back a sundress for Miss Mya. I only wish it came in my size! What a lucky girl to have such a nice auntie!

I tried to get a picture of Mya in her Valentine's Day outfit but it was hard to get her to cooperate that day.
And to finish off, some "because she's just too cute" pictures

Ok, that's it! I'm off to get a birthday present/supplies cause someone has a birthday coming up!

Lazy Sunday

Today is a lazy sort of day. We woke up and decided we'd make some bread and while it was rising we took a walk in the chilly air.

When Mya saw me wearing my apron she wanted to wear one too. Auntie Jessica sent us this one from Ikea and it was a little bit too big I think. When we got back from our walk, we threw some lunch together and then Mya laid down for a little nap. Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride 2 was on in the background while I finished my bread and started cooking some beans for a new soup I'm trying for supper tonight. It's been a perfect Sunday!

Models and Mail Buddies

The other day we were getting ready to head out for brunch with some friends and where it wasn't crazy cold out, I thought I would dress Mya in the sweater she got for Christmas rather than a coat. It didn't disappoint!

How sweet is that sweater? Thank the little old lady at the Digby Scallop days because she knit it. And then our model tried on a hat that we had made for a little friend of ours who was turning 1 and we wanted to see how it would fit so she gave it a go.

Adorable, right? I know. A woman who lives somewhat locally (Halifax) has a little business and she knit this cutie pie teddy bear hat. I ordered two, one in toddler size and one in newborn for another little friend of ours. She just knit a bunny hat too and I think it might even be cuter than the teddy bear hat. I'm definitely going to be getting one from her. If you're interested you can check out her facebook page here.

And one last picture for good measure. We were off to mail our hats and I took a pic of my mail buddy.
